Worship March 29, 2020 - When we come forth, then what?

This week's passage (please click here to read it) is the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from death with the command, “Lazarus, come forth!” And Lazarus did.

But what then? We know what happened to Jesus. But what did Lazarus do? It’s hard to believe that he just stretched, went home, had lunch, and went on with life as before. And the Bible does not say.

We have been living in near-isolation for about two weeks. We hope the day will come soon when our civil authorities will tell us, “Come forth!”

And then what?

Will we just go back to business and life as usual? Not only do I think we will not even be able to do that, I think we will discover we do not want to do that.

Let's take a look at an extraordinary day in the death and then the life of Lazarus of Bethany.
